Many kilometres of fire trails and tracks will keep you entertained; take a picnic on your outing and stop at the creek for a break. Go horseback riding on Russell-Ridge or in the state forest next door on your own horse which can be accomodated in a safe environment for the duration of your stay. A little further afield you can go swimming or fishing at Yarramalong Weir on the iconic Condamine River. Kayaking possibilities on the Condamine River, including the Yarramalong Weir, are extensive with many kilometres of navigable waterway available to the general public. Make Pittsworth your hub and visit the "Garden City" Toowoomba, tour through Nobby, Clifton, Allora and Warwick on a day trip.
